The installation procedure went fine, but after restarting, I can't load Windows. The system hangs at a blank screen, at the point where the start bar and icons usually appear. At first, I thought the CD installed an earlier version of DirectX that conflicted with version 9.0 that I had.

I have now installed 2.2 twice on different machines, it works just fine for install, and I use the system for a few hours, then when I do my first reboot, on one machine, it just shows The other machine does not even bother to say that, it just hangs forever at a blank screen. If I then try to "startx" or run "Sax2" I get "access denied to screen 0" and a message asking me to remove a lock file. Which I can do! Probably because X is already in use, the actual full message about the lockfile would be useful here.... I can't remember the exact message. But ctrl+alt+f7 is a black screen.
